Summer 2009 Commencement
USF Polytechnic does not hold a summer ceremony. Summer graduates may participate in Tampa's summer ceremony or a Polytechnic ceremony in the spring prior to their graduation or in the following fall.
Fall 2009 Commencement
Monday, December 14, 2009
The Lakeland Center, Youkey Theatre
701 W. Lime Street
Lakeland, FL 33815
Ceremony begins: 7 PM
Commencement is a time to recognize the great achievements of our USF Polytechnic students. The first commencement for this campus was held May 3, 2001, in the Polk Theatre in Lakeland. With more than 75 graduates and over 1,100 guests, the commencement ceremony was a huge success. As the number of graduates continued to grow, a fall commencement ceremony was introduced in 2003.
Did you know?
While USF President Judy Genshaft participates in all four campus' commencement ceremonies, the ceremonies are not identical. Due to smaller graduating classes, USF Polytechnic adds a few special touches to make it a memorable experience for our graduates.
In USF Poly's intimate ceremony, you will participate in the processional instead of being pre-seated in an auditorium. You will graduate with your fellow students, shake the hands of faculty you know, and celebrate with advisors, staff and administration who have helped you along the way. The ceremony is about 90 minutes long.
