ROBOTC is a powerful C-based programming language with a Windows environment for writing and debugging programs, and the only programming language at this level that offers a comprehensive, real-time debugger. ROBOTC is a cross-platform solution that allows students to learn the type of c-based programming used in advanced education and professional applications.
Each class is $25. Refreshments will be provided for each class.
Please note: Beginning RobotC has been cancelled and merged into the Intermediate RobotC session.
Beginning and Intermediate ROBOTC
This combined session will introduce the language syntax and structure of FIRST's ROBOTC programming environment. Individuals will learn fundamental reasoning and logic skills needed to develop programs through hands-on exercises and basic program development with such topics as pseudo code, flow charting, and reserved words. Individuals will also learn how to build a basic Lego robot, how to write and debug simple programs, and how to download and run programs.
Programmers will then improve their programming capabilities by creating more complicated ROBOTC programs and Lego robots that utilize advanced commands and strategies such as motor synchronization, closed loop control, and PID speed control.
