With 20 years actively working in marketing, branding, advertising, promotions, and marketing research, Carol Osborne has ventured along a classical career path from advertising account service, an MBA, and corporate marketing to consulting and teaching marketing at USF. She compiled 12 successful years at Cox Target Media, six as Vice President of Marketing, a subsidiary of the nation's eighth largest media company, Cox Enterprises, Atlanta. Prior to corporate marketing, she spent eight years in advertising. Ms. Osborne's advertising account experience extends to packaged goods, tourism, professional sports, hospitality, consumer services and B-to-B clients.

Her depth of experience includes media advertising, database marketing, affinity programs and cause marketing. Key accomplishments credited throughout her career include work in public relations, media strategy, promotional partnerships and marketing communications. Ms. Osborne has extensive knowledge cultivating image and building consumer awareness among local and national audiences. Her specific expertise is in marketing strategy, advertising, customer engagement, branding, positioning, promotion, customer satisfaction, and consumer behavior.

Ms. Osborne named a "Woman to Watch" by Advertising Age in 2000, currently consults for a local broadcast affiliate, a national magazine publisher, a media buying firm and a food marketing association. She was named a "favorite professor" in 2004 by 1,200 graduating seniors surveyed at USF Tampa, among four professors in fields outside business.
