Assistance for Students

At the USF Polytechnic Writing Center, students receive assistance in targeted areas of writing. The Writing Center counselor provides one-to-one attention for a particular writing assignment and addresses global and local paper concerns.

We assist student writer in areas such as:

• focusing on topics
• organizing ideas
• strengthening arguments
• documenting research
• revising style
• revising grammar
• revising for second language issues

However, we do not:

• write, edit or proofread students' papers
• write on students' papers
  

Online Writing Lab

Online Writing Lab lets students access assistance from remote locations. Students can send their work via email to the Writing Center writingcenter@poly.usf.edu and make an appointment to discuss the assignment via phone.

Fall 2009 Hours:
In person: Wednesday 1 PM - 5 PM Online: Thursday 1 PM - 4 PM

Students can email the Writing Center to schedule a formal appointment; walk-ins are welcome and will be seen based on availability.
