Admissions Requirements

Psychology, BA

To gain admission into USF Polytechnic, students must:

  • Complete an associate of arts (AA) degree from a Florida community college or 60 transferable credit hours from another college or university; and
  • Transfer a cumulative 2.0 grade point average (GPA) or better from previous educational institutions; and
  • Complete the prerequisite courses listed below at the lower level prior to entering the university. If these courses are not taken at the community college, they must be completed before the degree is granted. Some lower level prerequisite courses are now available at USF Polytechnic. Unless stated otherwise, a grade of C is the minimum acceptable grade.
    • PSY 2012 Introduction to Psychological Science
    • An additional lower level psychology course within the psychology inventory (any PSY, CBH, CLP, DEP, EXP, INP, PE,PSB or SOP AT THE 1-2XXX LEVEL)
    • BSC XXXX Any level general biology course
    • Statistics (PSY3204 Psychological Statistics is preferred)
