Criminology, BA
Many employers require a bachelor's degree for career advancement and management level positions, regardless of an employee's years of experience. Criminology graduates have gained comprehensive knowledge in their field preparing them for a wide array of career opportunities that require bachelor's degrees.
Graduates may choose to work in a variety of environments and for agencies such as the Coast Guard, private security, highway patrol, Secret Service, crime scene investigation (CSI), forensic science, U.S. Marshals, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF), Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Federal Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Graduates may find employment as a probation/parole officer, criminology professor, court clerk, police officer, customs agent, private investigator, compliance officer, marine patrol officer, deputy sheriff, or a correctional officer.
