Applied Science, BSAS - Information Technology

USF Polytechnic provides a 2+2 bachelor's program. It allows students to complete the first two years (approximately 60 semester credit hours) at their local community college or another college or university and the last two years (approximately 60 semester credit hours) with USF Polytechnic to obtain a bachelor's degree.

The Bachelor of Science in Applied Science (BSAS) with concentration in Information Technology at USF Polytechnic:

  • These courses are offered in traditional face-to-face, blended (combination of web-delivery with reduced traditional face-to-face meetings) and web-based (fully online) formats. Students may complete this entire degree with all traditional courses, entirely online, or a combination of the two formats.
  • Traditional courses are primarily offered during the day, evenings and weekends-most commonly in a once-per-week format.
  • Full-time students taking 12 credit hours per semester should expect to finish in approximately two years. Part-time students can set a schedule that best fits their needs.

The IT Department offers this degree at USF Polytechnic and on the Sarasota-Manatee and Tampa campuses, and some courses may also be taken at the downtown Tampa Channelside campus.
