Applied Science, BSAS - Criminal Justice
After several years of employment, many AS graduates seek additional career opportunities but find most employers require advanced degrees for management and supervisory positions. This program provides opportunities for advancement in the student's current career or to qualify for higher-level employment in other settings.
Graduates may hold positions as law enforcement, probation, and correction officers, sheriff, loss prevention specialists, police detective, customs agent, private investigator, public safety officer, homeland security, and cybercrime specialist. They work in a variety of environments including government and not-for-profit agencies, prisons, law enforcement agencies, schools, retail, businesses, and hospitals.
