The office of Institutional Research, Effectiveness and Planning (IREP) assumes primary responsibility for analyzing and interpreting data about the performance and environment of USF Polytechnic; transforming data into information for decision-support, policy analysis/planning; and communicating institutional information to the USF Polytechnic community.

IREP reports to the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs, coordinates and supports academic programs and administrative services in conducting the following:

  • program review processes, including outcome assessment
  • degree inventory
  • development and preparation of proposals for new degree programs and courses
  • survey design and analysis, including IRB clearance
  • enrollment planning and management
  • strategic plan benchmarking and accountability measurement
  • periodic and recurring institutional research inquiries
  • archive of institutional and service area reports
  • faculty credentialing
  • grant activity certification (PERT)
  • guiding faculty in vita development and activity reporting (FAIR)
  • student evaluations of instruction process and reporting

Each of these activities relates directly to accreditation standards and requirements. Hence, the IREP office coordinates and maintains records for accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and other accreditation organizations.
